Code of Conduct
Building a Respectful and Inclusive Community
Effective Date: September 23, 2026
At Cira Iq, we are committed to fostering an open, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for all members of our community, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.
1. Our Pledge
We pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of:
- Age, body size, disability, ethnicity, or gender identity
- Level of experience, education, or socio-economic status
- Nationality, personal appearance, race, or religion
- Sexual identity and orientation
- Technology choices or preferences
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.
2. Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:
- Using welcoming and inclusive language
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
- Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
- Focusing on what is best for the community
- Showing empathy towards other community members
- Being patient with newcomers and those learning
- Providing constructive and helpful feedback
- Respecting the time and effort of others
- Acknowledging and learning from mistakes
- Promoting collaboration over competition
3. Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all community spaces, including:
- Official Cira Iq platform and services
- Community forums, discussion boards, and chat channels
- Social media accounts and official communications
- Events, meetups, and conferences (virtual and in-person)
- Email correspondence and support interactions
- Representing Cira Iq in public spaces
4. Enforcement Responsibilities
Community leaders and moderators are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior. They have the right and responsibility to:
- Remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, edits, and contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct
- Ban temporarily or permanently any contributor for behaviors deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful
- Communicate reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate
5. Reporting Guidelines
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please report it as soon as possible.
How to Report

In-Platform: Use the "Report" feature available in user profiles and content
Emergency: For urgent safety concerns, contact local authorities immediately
What to Include in Your Report
- Your contact information (kept confidential)
- Names or identifiers of individuals involved
- Description of the incident, including date and time
- Screenshots, links, or other supporting evidence
- Any witnesses to the incident
- Whether the situation is ongoing
All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. We are committed to protecting the privacy of those who report incidents.
6. Enforcement Guidelines
Community leaders will follow these guidelines in determining consequences for violations:
Level 1: Correction
Community Impact: Use of inappropriate language or unprofessional behavior.
Consequence: Private written warning with clarity around the violation and explanation of why it was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.
Level 2: Warning
Community Impact: Violation through a single incident or series of actions.
Consequence: Formal warning with consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with involved parties for a specified period. Violations may result in temporary or permanent ban.
Level 3: Temporary Ban
Community Impact: Serious violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior.
Consequence: Temporary ban from any interaction or public communication with the community (7-90 days). Violations during this period may lead to permanent ban.
Level 4: Permanent Ban
Community Impact: Pattern of violation, severe incident, harassment, or aggression toward individuals or groups.
Consequence: Permanent ban from all community interaction and platform access.
7. Appeals Process
If you believe you have been unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you may appeal the decision by contacting us at appeals@ciraiq.com within 14 days of the enforcement action.
Appeals will be reviewed by a different team member than the one who made the original decision. The appeals process typically takes 5-10 business days.
8. Attribution
This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, and incorporates best practices from leading technology communities.
